Public blockchain project Ontology Network announced its partnership with Opera browser in decentralized finance (DeFi) and decentralized applications (dApps) sectors.

Founded in 1995, Opera is the first web browser with Web3 support and built-in crypto wallet. It supports Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, macOS, and Linux and has around 320 million users across the globe.

Both parties aim to connect all businesses by introducing public blockchain technology to the Opera browser.

This news follows after the Norway-based internet browser firm recently launched the iOS version of its blocckhain-ready Opera Touch browser, which supports the ethereum protocol, ethereum Web3 application programming interface (API), ethereum-based dApps, and all ERC-20 tokens, stablecoins, and nonfungible tokens.

On June 30, Ontology celebrated the first anniversary of its mainnet launch. In an online post on Medium, it said:

"During the two-year research and development, one-year steady MainNet operation and continuous technology development, we have already established a basic trust collaboration platform and achieved the first step of our vision: Ready for all businesses.

“We will continue to adhere to the real business strategy, taking every step in a solid manner, break the game with technology. We look forward to seeing more changes happen."
