Kraken Sets August 27 Deadline for 21 Token Delistings

Kraken Sets August 27 Deadline for 21 Token Delistings.

Kraken is approaching the final phase of its latest crypto delisting process, with holders of 21 affected tokens given until August 27, 2026, at 14:00 UTC to withdraw their assets. Any tokens left on the exchange after the deadline will be subject to automatic liquidation, potentially in markets with little or no liquidity.

The crypto exchange initially announced the scheduled delistings in May after determining that the assets no longer met its internal performance or compliance requirements. Kraken stopped deposits and trading for the affected cryptocurrencies on May 29, while allowing users additional time to withdraw their holdings.

The delisted tokens are AURA, BIT, BOND, BSX, FARM, GARI, K, KET, KINTO, LOBO, MOON, MV, NYM, RAIIN, RHEA, SAROS, SDN, SPC, SPICE, TEA, and TEER. Although several assets had already lost trading support before May 29, they remain subject to the same withdrawal deadline.

After withdrawals permanently close, Kraken plans to liquidate remaining balances during a five-day period from September 1 through September 5. Users will not control when their tokens are sold during this process.

That creates an important risk for holders. Kraken has cautioned that some of the delisted cryptocurrencies have limited or inactive markets. Low liquidity could result in unfavorable execution prices, while assets without sufficient market demand could produce minimal or potentially no proceeds during liquidation.

TEER faces particularly severe limitations. Kraken says the project has ceased operations, on-chain transactions are no longer functional, and both trading and funding are suspended. This leaves affected TEER holders with fewer options than owners of other delisted assets.

Crypto delistings can significantly reduce liquidity as exchange support disappears and fewer market participants remain. For Kraken users holding any of the 21 tokens, withdrawing before 14:00 UTC on August 27 provides the final opportunity to retain control over their assets and determine how to manage their exit.

Those who miss the Kraken withdrawal deadline will instead depend on the exchange's liquidation process and whatever market liquidity is available at the time.
