Federal Reserve Bank of New York launches Fintech Advisory Group
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York last week launched the Fintech Advisory Group that will focus on providing insights into existing and emerging financial technologies. The group will primarily aim to present views and perspectives on the emerging issues related to financial technologies, their application and market impact, and their potential impact on the New York Fed’s ability to achieve its missions.

US CFTC Technology Advisory Committee discusses cryptocurrencies and DLT adoption
The Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) discussed cryptocurrency regulation and the adoption of distributed ledger technology (DLT), among other things, on Wednesday, March 27, Cointelegraph reported. During the meeting, the TAC subcommittees highlighted relevant issues in their presentations for the TAC’s consideration.

Taiwan’s National Development Council to establish blockchain alliance
The National Development Council (NDC), the policy-planning agency of Taiwan, has announced that it currently in the process of setting up a blockchain alliance, Taiwan News reported referring to a report from Liberty Times. The agency has already held consultations with a number of government departments as well as experts and academics to describe the mission of the alliance, NDC Minister Chen Mei-ling said.

Indian Commerce Ministry launches blockchain-based e-marketplace app for coffee
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the government of India has launched a blockchain-based e-marketplace for coffee. The objective is to help farmers integrate directly with markets in a transparent manner, allowing them to realize fair prices for their produce.
