With an eye on the thriving digital art world, Binance, a leading crypto exchange, has introduced an exciting feature named "Bixel," to its nonfungible token (NFT) platform. This artificial intelligence (AI) driven tool invites users to partake in the vibrant NFT scene by facilitating the creation of bespoke digital art pieces.
"Bixel" became a staple for Binance's users on July 26. It fosters a unique fusion of technology and creativity, allowing everyone to craft their exclusive digital art and dive into the NFT wave. But it's not all free-spirited artistry; Binance mandates a completion of its Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification process, asserting it as a critical step towards a secure and trustworthy environment that adheres to regulatory norms.
Moreover, an NFT minting fee of 0.008 BNB, payable by those desiring to use "Bixel," ensures the smooth operation of the minting process on the BNB Smart Chain. The digital art platform does extend some generosity, promising users ten complimentary art generation opportunities each day.
Previously, on March 1, Binance had introduced a beta version of this intriguing tool, christened "Bicasso," which captivated users' interest to such an extent that it reached its minting capacity of 10,000 NFTs in a mere 2.5 hours.
Yet, the launch wasn't devoid of controversy. Soon after Bicasso's release, a community member named Ggoma accused Binance of plagiarizing their AI NFT generator concept, "Chatcasso," which had bagged the first prize at the BNB Chain hackathon in Seoul, South Korea, in December 2022. In response, a Binance representative categorically denied the claims, asserting that Bicasso was an independent project, conceived a fortnight prior to the hackathon.
The stage is now set for "Bixel," with the world of digital art awaiting its next chapter.
