XRP Price Eyes Breakout as Bulls Challenge Key Resistance at $2.25

XRP staged a strong recovery on April 9 after a three-day slump, rebounding from lows of $1.72 and climbing to an intraday high of $2.24. This bullish momentum has sparked back-to-back daily gains, but the rally now faces a crucial test at the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) of $2.25. This level, which previously acted as support, is now serving as resistance, creating a pivotal barrier for XRP’s upward trajectory.

A decisive break and close above the 50-day SMA could unlock the next resistance targets at $2.60 and eventually $3. However, failure to surpass this level could push XRP back to support zones near $2.00, with further downside risks toward the 200-day SMA at $1.88 or even the recent low of $1.72.

Despite broader market caution driven by macroeconomic uncertainty, XRP has gained renewed momentum, especially among Korean traders. It currently leads trading volume on Upbit, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, outperforming Bitcoin and Solana. This spike in volume highlights growing regional interest amid rising volatility across the crypto market.

Adding to XRP’s bullish outlook is the successful launch of the first U.S.-based XRP ETF. Teucrium’s 2x Long Daily XRP ETF recorded $5 million in initial trading volume, ranking it among the top 5% of all new ETF launches. The ETF aims to deliver double the daily performance of XRP via swap agreements tied to European exchange-traded products.

As XRP bulls attempt to reclaim control, all eyes are on the $2.25 resistance level. A breakout here could signal a continuation of the uptrend, while rejection may trigger another correction phase. Traders should watch for confirmation signals as XRP hovers near a critical technical threshold.
