Coinbase has announced plans to suspend trading for Badger DAO (BADGER) and Storj (STORJ) in September 2026 following its latest review of assets available on the cryptocurrency exchange.
According to a recent post on X, Coinbase will halt trading for BADGER and STORJ on September 28, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m. ET. The company said it routinely reviews listed cryptocurrencies to determine whether they continue to meet its established listing standards.
The suspension will apply across Coinbase.com, including Simple and Advanced Trade, as well as Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime. Ahead of the planned delisting, order books for BADGER and STORJ have already been switched to limit-only mode. Users can still place and cancel limit orders, while trades may continue to be matched under these restrictions.
Coinbase emphasized that customers will retain access to their BADGER and STORJ holdings after trading is suspended. Users will still be able to withdraw the affected crypto assets from their Coinbase accounts.
The latest announcement expands Coinbase's September delisting plans. Earlier in August, the exchange said it would suspend trading for IoTeX (IOTX) on September 23 at around 2 p.m. ET. IOTX trading will also end across Coinbase's Simple and Advanced Trade platforms, Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime, with its order books moved to limit-only mode beforehand.
While removing some cryptocurrencies, Coinbase has continued expanding its selection of digital assets. During August, Basecat (BASECAT), DebtReliefBot (DRB), Dolphin (POD) and Grass (GRASS) were added to the company's listing roadmap. GRASS and BASECAT have since become available on Coinbase, enabling eligible customers to buy, sell, convert, send, receive and store the tokens.
Separately, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong recently highlighted early demand for the exchange's new US500 index perpetual futures product. The contract, which tracks an index representing America's 500 largest companies, surpassed $100 million in 24-hour trading volume just one week after its launch.
The latest changes reflect Coinbase's ongoing strategy of reviewing existing listings while introducing new crypto assets and trading products to its platform.
