Sirin Labs allows FINNEY users to purchase crypto with credit cards via Simplex integration

Blockchain smartphone maker Sirin Labs has announced that FINNEY users can now purchase cryptocurrencies with a credit card directly through the smartphone.

This has been made possible via integration of Simplex into the Token Conversion Service. Sirin Labs made the announcement in a tweet on Tuesday, May 14:

SIRIN Labs launched its blockchain smartphone FINNEY in November 2018. The FINNEY handset already comes with a Token Conversion Service (TCS).

It first entered into a partnership with payment processing company Simplex in February this year, allowing FINNEY users to make crypto purchases using fiat currencies directly from their smartphones through the cold storage wallet.

However, with disappointing FINNEY sales, Sirin Labs laid off 25 percent of its workforce last month. Speaking to Globes, the company had said:

“The global market is not in the best state. Sales are not what we expected.”

Founder and Co-CEO Moshe Hogeg has quite a controversial past and is facing a number of lawsuits for alleged crypto funds embezzlement and defrauding many investors.
