The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is entering the final week before the mandatory rollout of version 3.2.0, with developers warning that node operators who fail to upgrade could face service interruptions once the transition period ends.

XRPL validator Vet issued a reminder on X, encouraging operators to update their infrastructure before the deadline. He noted that in less than a week, all nodes running software versions older than XRPL 3.2.0 may experience disruptions. Vet also urged exchanges, developers, and blockchain projects built on the XRP Ledger to ensure their systems are upgraded in time.

Current data from the XRP Ledger Explorer shows that the network migration is still underway. Out of 843 tracked nodes, 489, or 57.87%, are already running version 3.2.0. Meanwhile, 319 nodes (37.75%) continue to use version 3.1.3, while a smaller number remain on versions 3.1.2, 3.1.1, 3.1.0, and 3.0.0.

Validator adoption has progressed even further. The latest figures indicate that 99 validators, representing 66.44% of the network, have upgraded to XRPL 3.2.0, while 41 validators (27.52%) are still operating on version 3.1.3.

The latest software release introduces several infrastructure upgrades, bug fixes, and developer-focused improvements. It also includes the implementation of XLS-0095, a major protocol update that officially renames the XRP Ledger server software from rippled to xrpld. The migration, which began on June 15, requires operators to update configuration paths, deployment scripts, metadata references, and database directories.

In addition, the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment has surpassed the required validator approval threshold, receiving 85.71% support after 30 of 35 trusted validators voted in favor. The amendment is currently in its two-week activation period and is scheduled to go live on July 29, 2026, at 09:57 UTC, provided validator support remains above the required 80% threshold.

The amendment focuses on improving network reliability by fixing rounding and accuracy issues affecting Single Asset Vaults and the Lending Protocol. It also resolves bugs related to the Permissioned DEX and Permissioned Domains while refining existing XRP Ledger functionality without introducing new features.
