XRP price remains in a bullish technical position after its strong August rally, with the cryptocurrency continuing to trade above a critical long-term support level near $1.35. Holding this area could determine whether XRP extends its recovery or faces a deeper correction.
During the August surge, XRP decisively reclaimed the key technical indicator around $1.35 and has remained above it for several trading sessions. A successful defense of this level would reinforce the view that XRP has broken away from its previous long-term bearish trend. However, a daily close below $1.35 could weaken the bullish structure and increase the risk of a sharper pullback.
XRP’s shorter-term moving averages remain considerably below the current price, highlighting the speed of the recent rally. The 50-day moving average stands near $1.14, while the 100-day average is around $1.21. Meanwhile, the rapidly rising 20-day exponential moving average has reached approximately $1.26.
The wide gap between XRP and these moving averages reflects how quickly the token recovered from its August low near $1.00. Momentum indicators are also beginning to normalize after the rapid advance. The Relative Strength Index (RSI), which previously moved deep into overbought territory, has cooled to around 66.
This decline in RSI could benefit XRP bulls by creating additional room for another upward move without immediately pushing momentum back to extreme levels.
On the upside, the $1.45-$1.50 range remains XRP’s first major resistance zone. The cryptocurrency has struggled to maintain momentum above this area since its initial breakout. A convincing move beyond $1.50 could open the door toward $1.55, followed by a possible retest of the recent spike high near $1.70.
For now, XRP’s technical outlook remains bullish as long as the price holds above $1.35. Consolidation between $1.35 and $1.50 could provide a healthier setup than another rapid vertical rally, allowing shorter-term moving averages to catch up with the price before XRP attempts its next significant breakout.
