XRP price remains under pressure on the daily chart, but recent trading activity suggests bearish momentum may be gradually weakening. The cryptocurrency continues to consolidate in a tightening range above the crucial $1 support level, indicating that sellers are struggling to extend the decline even as buyers remain cautious.
The broader XRP price trend is still bearish. Previous recovery attempts have failed below key moving averages, leaving the asset without confirmation of a meaningful trend reversal. However, the latest XRP consolidation looks different from the aggressive selloffs seen earlier. Instead of sharp declines, price action has become increasingly compressed as volatility and trading volume decline.
From a technical perspective, XRP remains below its major moving averages. The 50-day moving average is trending lower near $1.09, while the 20-day moving average has started to flatten just above the current price. Longer-term resistance remains considerably higher, with the 100-day moving average around $1.20 and the 200-day moving average near $1.39.
Despite this bearish setup, sellers have repeatedly failed to force XRP significantly below the $1.03-$1.05 area. Multiple tests of this XRP support zone have not resulted in another major liquidation wave. Smaller daily candles also suggest that existing selling pressure is gradually being absorbed by the market.
Momentum indicators reinforce this view. XRP's Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering around 40, remaining below the neutral 50 level but comfortably above oversold territory. This suggests bearish momentum has weakened, although there is not yet enough strength to confirm a bullish reversal.
Declining trading volume adds to the uncertainty. Rather than aggressively opening new positions, traders appear to be waiting for a fresh market catalyst. Periods of low-volatility price compression can precede stronger moves, making XRP's current range important to watch.
For bulls, reclaiming the 20-day moving average followed by the 50-day average near $1.09 would provide an early signal of improving momentum. Until that happens, the $1 psychological level remains XRP's most important nearby support, while the overall technical structure continues to favor caution.
