Coinbase has once again proven its influence in the crypto market by fueling rallies for two newly listed altcoins, Centrifuge (CFG) and TROLL. The exchange announced that spot trading for both assets would open tomorrow, just two days after adding them to its listing roadmap—a remarkably fast turnaround that caught many traders off guard.

Following the announcement, both tokens experienced double-digit gains. Centrifuge (CFG), tied to a real-world asset (RWA) tokenization platform, displayed steady and consistent growth. In contrast, TROLL, a meme coin inspired by the iconic Trollface, saw more erratic movements with sharp spikes, pullbacks, and rebounds. Despite its volatility, TROLL actually delivered a higher percentage increase than CFG.

Centrifuge has built a strong reputation in the blockchain space, having already tokenized more than 1,700 assets and financing over $1 billion in value. Although its native token, CFG, only launched this past May, the project’s established presence and track record make its rapid Coinbase listing appear logical. Its role in RWA tokenization—a growing narrative in the crypto industry—further enhances its appeal.

TROLL, on the other hand, takes a lighter, community-driven approach. Launched in April, the meme coin has been more unpredictable. It spent months hovering around $0.01 before skyrocketing to $0.27 last month, then retracing. The Coinbase listing reignited trading interest, leading to another surge despite ongoing volatility.

Both listings underscore Coinbase’s strategy of rapidly expanding its token offerings, which continues to generate enthusiasm among traders. For CFG, the listing highlights the momentum behind RWA-focused projects. For TROLL, it demonstrates that even meme coins can capture attention and benefit from major exchange listings.

With the exchange showing no signs of slowing down its altcoin additions, investors are closely watching which tokens might be next in line for the Coinbase effect.
