SBI Holdings announced the launch of its virtual currency exchange, VCTRADE, to the public in July 2018.
According to the announcement, the platform has started accepting deposits in the three cryptocurrencies from December 21, 2018. It is also considering adding support for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) deposits and said that it will determine if
“…normal operation of the block chain network can be confirmed with the hard fork, and if there is no obstacle to maintenance of customer assets and transaction with customers” (via online translation)
In addition, VCTRADE also plans to enable cryptocurrency withdrawal feature by late January 2019. Importantly, the withdrawals will be limited to a “designated wallet” or hardware wallet, Cointelegraph reported.
“We plan to start sending this virtual currency sending service as soon as preparation is completed from late January 2019. Information on designated wallet (how to obtain, notes on use etc.) will be provided from time to time on the website of our company or our affiliated company,” the announcement reads.
