Binance Flags Four Tokens for Delisting Risk. Source: Web Summit(CC BY 4.0)

Binance has placed four additional cryptocurrencies under heightened scrutiny, signaling that the tokens could face potential delisting if they fail to meet the exchange’s listing requirements.

The major crypto exchange announced that AVA, GNS, SCR and TOWNS will receive its Monitoring Tag starting September 4, 2026. Binance said the decision followed its latest project reviews, although it noted that availability of certain tokens may vary depending on users’ locations.

Binance uses the Monitoring Tag for cryptocurrencies that require closer oversight because they may carry higher volatility and investment risks than other listed assets. Receiving the designation does not mean a token will automatically be delisted, but it indicates that Binance will conduct more frequent assessments of the project.

The exchange periodically evaluates factors that could determine whether a Monitoring Tag should remain or be removed. Tokens that ultimately fail to satisfy Binance’s listing standards could be removed from the platform.

Users can identify affected cryptocurrencies through Monitoring Tag labels displayed on Binance Spot, Binance Margin and the Markets Overview page. Binance also displays risk warning banners to alert traders about the additional risks associated with these assets. Other Binance services involving AVA, GNS, SCR and TOWNS will remain unaffected for now.

Separately, Binance Alpha is removing 14 tokens from its featured list following another review. The delisting is scheduled for September 4 at 8:30 UTC and targets projects Binance says no longer meet its Alpha standards.

The affected Binance Alpha tokens are Multiple Network (MTP), Bondex Token (BDXN), PrompTale AI (TALE), BitcoinOS (BOS), Maiga.ai (MAIGA), MetaArena (TIMI), Saros (SAROS), Union (U), SERAPH (SERAPH), REVIVE (RVV), AI Avatar (AIAV), Nietzschean Penguin (PENGUIN), Odos (ODOS) and Nebula3 (SN3).

Despite their removal from Binance Alpha’s featured list, users will still be able to sell or withdraw the affected tokens afterward.

The latest changes highlight Binance’s ongoing efforts to review listed crypto assets and manage risks as projects evolve and market conditions change.
