Bitfinex Securities has expanded its tokenized securities marketplace with new investment products linked to Strategy and Japan-listed Metaplanet, giving eligible investors economic exposure to two major publicly traded Bitcoin treasury companies.
The Strategy-linked note, trading under the CMSTR ticker, tracks the performance of Strategy Class A common stock, which trades on Nasdaq under MSTR. Each full CMSTR note is backed by ORO (II) with the equivalent of 100 Strategy shares. Investors gain economic exposure to the stock without directly owning the underlying shares.
Bitfinex Securities has also introduced CMPTL, a tokenized note tied to Metaplanet shares listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under ticker 3350. Each full CMPTL note is backed by 100 Metaplanet shares, while fractional trading allows investors to take smaller positions.
Another product, STRCst, provides exposure to Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock. Each STRCst note is backed by one STRC share and passes through associated economic rights, including the variable annual cash dividend.
The Strategy and Metaplanet tokenized securities can be traded against the U.S. dollar, USDT and Bitcoin, although eligibility and minimum investment requirements vary by product.
ORO (II), a Luxembourg umbrella securitization fund, issued the notes through European tokenization platform STOKR, while SICOS Securities manages the fund. Regulated financial institutions custody the underlying shares, with separate fund compartments established for individual notes.
The securities operate on the Liquid Network under the supervision of El Salvador’s Comisión Nacional de Activos Digitales. Bitfinex Securities also requires approved wallets and identity verification procedures as part of its compliance and anti-money laundering framework.
Alongside Strategy and Metaplanet, Bitfinex Securities added tokenized products linked to Sweden’s H100 Group and France’s Capital B. The five new offerings increase its marketplace to 12 tokenized investment products across 27 trading pairs.
Bitfinex Securities said listed assets now exceed $500 million and plans additional products, including a gold yield fund, Bitcoin mining-linked private credit notes and a tokenized U.S. money market fund.
