MyDoge to End Doginals and DRC-20 Support on Sept. 17

Dogecoin wallet MyDoge has announced that it will suspend support for Doginals and DRC-20 assets on Sept. 17, 2026, urging affected users to migrate their holdings to compatible wallets before the deadline.

The decision follows an announcement from Maestro, the third-party infrastructure provider that powers MyDoge’s Doginals and DRC-20 functionality. Maestro plans to shut down its Dogecoin API services on Sept. 18, leaving MyDoge without the infrastructure needed to manage these assets.

Doginals are digital assets inscribed directly on the Dogecoin blockchain, similar to Bitcoin Ordinals, while DRC-20 is a token standard built around the Doginals ecosystem.

MyDoge described the development as an unexpected and inconvenient change for holders but said it wanted to provide users with sufficient notice to move their assets safely. Anyone holding Doginals or DRC-20 tokens through MyDoge should transfer those specific assets before Sept. 17.

The wallet emphasized that regular Dogecoin (DOGE) holdings are not affected. Users do not need to transfer DOGE or other supported assets, and standard Dogecoin transactions will continue operating normally. MyDoge also said additional platform features and updates are planned.

Ending wallet support will not remove Doginals or DRC-20 assets from the Dogecoin blockchain. The assets will remain associated with their respective onchain addresses. However, after the deadline, MyDoge will no longer have the necessary infrastructure to display or transfer them, potentially making access through the wallet difficult or impossible.

MyDoge advised users migrating their assets to rely on official links, confirm that their destination wallet supports the specific Doginals or DRC-20 tokens they hold, and consider making a small test transaction before transferring their entire balance.

Users should also avoid unsolicited migration assistance and never disclose seed phrases or private keys. MyDoge stressed that it will never request such information.

The company is evaluating options to restore Doginals and DRC-20 support in the future, but no replacement provider or timeline has been confirmed. For now, users should treat Sept. 17 as the firm migration deadline.
