Veteran trader Peter Brandt has identified a potential bottom for Cardano (ADA), suggesting the cryptocurrency is preparing to enter a large-scale bull market. ADA has surged 30% in 2025, surpassing $1 for the first time since April 2022.
According to CoinTelegraph on January 17, Cardano is now attempting to break the $1.10 resistance level. Brandt noted that ADA has formed a "double-bottom" pattern over the past year and converted its previous resistance level of $0.81 into strong support.
“Cardano has established a solid base for a major bull market,” Brandt emphasized. Similarly, crypto analyst "Altcoin Sherpa" pointed out ADA’s bullish chart structure and expressed optimism about its ability to follow the upward momentum of other retail-friendly assets. The anticipation of pro-crypto policies under President-elect Donald Trump has further fueled market expectations for a renewed altcoin rally.
Technical Indicators Signal Strength
Recent technical analysis highlights that ADA’s pullback was supported within the 0.5–0.618 Fibonacci retracement zone, often referred to as the "golden pocket." This suggests a strong potential for price recovery after a temporary dip. After reaching its 2024 high of $1.32 on December 3 and subsequently falling to $0.76, ADA has stabilized above $1, reinforcing its bullish trajectory.
Market Position and Outlook
Currently, ADA trades 64.7% below its all-time high of $3.09, lagging behind peers like XRP and Solana (SOL). However, this relative undervaluation offers traders an attractive risk-reward ratio, with the potential for ADA to retest its all-time high in 2025 enhancing its appeal.
