Blockchain media platform PUBLISH has announced that its proprietary token “NEWS” will be listed on Hanbitco exchange.
The trading will commence at 16:00 KST (Korean Standard Time) on Wednesday, July 10. This follows the listing of the token on Hoo exchange on July 02.
Hanbitco will be the first Korean exchange to list NEWS tokens. It is one of seven Korean cryptocurrency exchanges to have passed a recent security audit by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
Founded in 2018, PUBLISH aims to create a blockchain-based media platform that fairly rewards all of its participants and serves as a realistic and economically viable model for publishers to adopt and build on.
To realize this goal, the company has launched PUBLISHprotocol, a blockchain-powered open-source protocol that aims to facilitate a participatory mode of news production and consumption, and PUBLISHsoft, a blockchain-based content management system and end-to-end publishing system enabling publishers to issue their own PUBLISHprotocol-based cryptographic token.
NEWS is PUBLISH’s proprietary token that will be used for every transaction within its news ecosystem.
Recently, PUBLISH announced “Benchmark Token Sale” (BTS) mechanism in a bid to disincentivize any unhealthy speculation and “pump-and-dump” schemes. The company has also launched its decentralized hot wallet, called “PUBLISHwallet,” for Android devices.
As a promotional offer, PUBLISH has announced a token giveaway of 800,000 NEWS tokens to the top 48 traders with the highest trading volume under the NEWS/BTC trading pair. The trading contest will run from 10 July 2019 to 21 July 2019.
The top trader will win a trip to Bangkok for three nights for two. This includes two return tickets (from select Korean airports) and three nights at a four-star hotel.
