XRP ETF Momentum Grows as VolatilityShares Eyes US Launch

The XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) landscape is gaining traction, with VolatilityShares set to launch a new XRP-based product in the U.S. this Thursday, according to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas. This move signals growing interest in XRP investment products despite ongoing regulatory ambiguity.

Last month, Teucrium launched a 2X leveraged XRP ETF, which saw impressive activity—trading nearly $5 million on its debut day. The product has since attracted $120 million in assets under management (AUM) and now averages $35 million in daily trading volume. Balchunas views this as a strong indicator of surging investor demand for XRP-related financial instruments.

While the XRP ETF market heats up, ProShares has yet to announce the launch date for its own futures-based XRP ETF. Meanwhile, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) continues to delay decisions on several spot-based XRP ETF applications, including one submitted by Franklin Templeton.

Investor appetite appears undeterred by regulatory uncertainty, with XRP’s recent technical momentum also fueling interest. Notably, XRP formed a "golden cross" against Bitcoin on the weekly chart—its first ever—suggesting potential bullish sentiment in the market.

With institutional interest climbing and more ETF issuers entering the arena, XRP may soon join Bitcoin and Ethereum in gaining mainstream ETF exposure. Although spot XRP ETFs await SEC approval, the momentum behind futures and leveraged products suggests XRP is becoming an increasingly tradable digital asset within regulated markets.
