XRP, the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is trading at around $2.14, up 3.22% in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. Following its dip on April 2, XRP has rebounded, marking its third straight day of gains. Analysts are divided on what's next—some foresee a surge toward the $2.50–$3 range. Crypto analyst Ali notes that if XRP stays above $2, it could climb another 30% to the upper trend channel at $2.60. Alternatively, XRP may remain range-bound between its 50- and 200-day moving averages at $2.36 and $1.83.

Investor interest has also been fueled by Coinbase Institutional’s recent filing with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to launch XRP futures contracts—a significant step that could increase institutional involvement. On-chain data further supports bullish sentiment. According to Glassnode, XRP address activity has surged 490% since the 2022 cycle low, vastly outpacing Bitcoin’s 10% increase in the same metric. XRP’s realized cap has nearly doubled, rising from $30.1 billion to $64.2 billion, signaling a substantial inflow of capital, much of it from retail investors over the past six months.

XRP’s recent price surge contrasts with Bitcoin’s steadier climb, suggesting a retail-driven rally. However, inflows have begun to slow since late February, possibly pointing to waning speculative momentum. Still, with XRP trading 5x–6x above its lows, investor attention remains high, especially amid institutional developments and strong on-chain fundamentals.
