Bitcoin Faces Volatility as Liquidations Surge – What’s Next?

Bitcoin’s price remains highly volatile, with recent mass liquidations worsening market conditions. According to the latest BTC liquidation heatmap, extreme 100x long positions were wiped out as Bitcoin failed to sustain its upward momentum. The digital asset was rejected at the critical 200-day EMA, triggering a sharp decline that forced overleveraged traders out of the market.

Currently, Bitcoin is fluctuating in the $85,000–$86,000 range, a high-liquidity zone. However, the heatmap suggests that a further dip below $84,888 could accelerate additional liquidations. Leverage trading amplifies both gains and losses, and when traders use excessive leverage, minor price movements can result in significant forced exits. A major liquidation event occurred when Bitcoin fell below $85,000, revealing the risk of aggressive margin positions.

Despite this uncertainty, Bitcoin’s next move remains crucial. A successful recovery above the 200-day EMA and a break past $90,000 could spark a bullish rally toward the $95,000–$100,000 range. On the downside, sustained selling pressure could push Bitcoin to the next major liquidity level around $80,000, where another wave of liquidations may occur.

Traders should exercise caution, as Bitcoin’s erratic price action continues to create unpredictable market conditions. While a potential breakout offers hope, the risks remain high, especially for those using high leverage. As the market navigates these critical price levels, staying informed and managing risk effectively is essential.
