Ripple is not planning an initial public offering (IPO) anytime soon, according to President Monica Long in a recent CNBC interview. The San Francisco-based blockchain firm, known for its enterprise crypto solutions and XRP token, sees no immediate need to go public due to its strong financial position.

“At this moment, we have a lot of liquidity, so we do have billions of dollars of cash on the balance sheet,” Long stated. She emphasized that Ripple is in an “acquisitive” phase, actively exploring expansion opportunities rather than pursuing an IPO. “We are really just focused on growing the business as we are now,” she added.

Ripple’s IPO ambitions have long been the subject of speculation. However, company executives have consistently reiterated that public listing is not a current priority. Back in 2022, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse suggested that the company might consider going public after resolving its legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Yet by October, he clarified that an IPO was still not on the table, reiterating Ripple’s solid liquidity and robust business operations.

Ripple continues to expand its global presence, with recent strategic acquisitions and partnerships. Its XRP token remains a key player in the cross-border payments space, and the company has been gaining traction in markets like Japan, where XRP access has been made significantly easier for millions of users.

As crypto adoption grows, Ripple's decision to hold off on an IPO reflects confidence in its financial stability and a strategic focus on growth through internal development and acquisitions, rather than seeking capital from public markets. The company's clear stance also sets it apart in a sector where many startups rush toward public listings.
