Bitcoin Could Hit $110K Before Surging to $250K, Predicts Arthur Hayes

Arthur Hayes, crypto analyst and BitMEX founder, has made a bullish prediction on Bitcoin’s future. He believes BTC could first surge to $110,000 before eyeing a long-term target of $250,000. While Hayes noted that Bitcoin may briefly retest the $76,500 level, he emphasized that the $110K milestone is more likely due to macroeconomic factors currently at play.

Hayes highlights a possible policy shift by the U.S. Federal Reserve from Quantitative Tightening (QT) to Quantitative Easing (QE) as a key driver for Bitcoin’s next rally. QE typically increases liquidity in the financial system by injecting capital through bond purchases, often boosting the value of risk assets like Bitcoin. With more money circulating, investors tend to seek higher-yielding alternatives, which could fuel BTC's climb.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin briefly crossed $88,000, reflecting strong market momentum. Hayes remains optimistic despite recent turbulence caused by new U.S. tariffs that led to a short-term sell-off in crypto markets. He downplayed the long-term impact of these tariffs, calling them temporary disruptions rather than lasting threats.

Adding to the bullish sentiment, on-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant reported that Bitcoin open interest has exceeded $32 billion. This surge in open interest — the total value of active derivatives contracts — indicates a spike in leveraged trading activity. While this leverage can amplify gains, CryptoQuant cautioned that it also increases the risk of sudden liquidations during market volatility.
