XRP just witnessed a massive spike in on-chain activity that flew under the radar for many traders. On June 30, payment volume between accounts skyrocketed to over 1.35 billion XRP, a dramatic surge compared to the stable levels seen throughout June. This unusual jump in transaction volume raises questions, especially since similar spikes in the past have often been linked to whale coordination, exchange rebalancing, or major institutional moves.

Despite the enormous activity, XRP’s price has shown little reaction. The token remains locked in a sideways channel on the daily chart, hovering near $2.20 after briefly testing resistance around $2.25. The 50, 100, and 200-day EMAs are tightly clustered—a technical sign of low volatility and indecision—while the RSI indicator remains neutral, suggesting neither bullish nor bearish pressure.
