X Launches Big Charts for Crypto and Stocks, Expanding Real-Time Market Tracking

Elon Musk’s X has rolled out a major upgrade to its financial data tools with the launch of Big Charts, a new feature designed to enhance the platform’s Smart Cashtags experience for both cryptocurrency and stock investors. The update is now available on iOS and web platforms, reinforcing Musk’s broader vision of transforming X into an all-in-one “everything app.”

The announcement was made on June 12 by X Product Head Nikita Bier, who said the new feature was developed in response to user demand for larger and more interactive market charts. Big Charts allows users to access expanded, real-time financial data directly within their timelines, making it easier to track asset performance without leaving the platform.

Users can add Big Charts to posts by using Cashtags and then expanding the chart before publishing. When searching for a Cashtag or supported contract address, X displays matching cryptocurrencies and stocks along with live market information. Tapping on a Cashtag provides access to related discussions and a detailed price chart.

The new charts support key market metrics, including real-time prices, percentage changes, trading volume, and multiple timeframe views. Popular cryptocurrencies supported by the feature include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), HYPE, BONK, USDT, and USDC. Major stocks such as Tesla (TSLA), Nvidia (NVDA), Strategy (MSTR), and Coinbase (COIN) are also included.

According to Bier, the platform plans to introduce technical analysis tools in future updates, with additional features expected to be announced soon. However, X currently limits Smart Cashtags to three per post.

The launch comes as anticipation continues to build around X Money, the company’s upcoming payments platform. Market observers have speculated that cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin and Bitcoin could eventually be integrated into the service. X believes its expanding financial ecosystem, including Smart Cashtags and Big Charts, could strengthen engagement among crypto traders and investors while positioning the platform as a growing hub for real-time market insights and digital finance.
