Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Taotao has officially announced the launch of its platform today, May 30.

“With the slogan "New Money, New World", we will provide virtual currency exchange services that are easy to use for virtual currency users and can be used safely and securely,” Taotao said (via online translation).
As previously reported, Taotao is 40% owned by internet giant Yahoo! Japan’s YJFX.
At launch, the platform will support trading in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) and leveraged trading in three additional cryptocurrencies including Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
In its press release, Taotao explained that it is using cold wallet and multisig features to protect customer funds from potential hacks and thefts.
As a promotional offer, the exchange said that it will not charge any fees for its services including, account opening, transaction, deposits, and withdrawals.
According to the details, Taotao was established on May 26, 2017, and is registered as a virtual currency exchange trader with the Kanton Finance Bureau. It is also a member of Taotao the country’s self-regulatory body, Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association (JVCEA).
