Lingerie Fighting Championships Joins Bitcoin Treasury Trend with $2M BTC Plan

Lingerie Fighting Championships (OTC: BOTY), a Las Vegas-based women’s MMA promotion, is diving into the Bitcoin treasury movement by announcing plans to purchase up to $2 million worth of BTC over the next six months. The company will start with an initial $230,000 acquisition within 30 days.

This strategic pivot aligns with the growing trend sparked by MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor, where companies convert part of their cash reserves into Bitcoin as a long-term store of value. While many firms have rebranded entirely as BTC-first entities, LFC appears to be following a model closer to Tesla’s—adding Bitcoin to its balance sheet while maintaining its core operations.

The announcement comes as LFC prepares for its UK debut, with LFC43: Sindependence Day 2 set for July 4 in London (already sold out) and LFC44: Underground Knockouts scheduled for Cardiff on July 6.

Although the company did not elaborate on the rationale in its press release, CEO Shaun Donnelly told CoinDesk that he sees Bitcoin as a promising long-term investment. “Bitcoin has lots of potential to grow to levels never seen before, and we wanted to get in while we still can,” said Donnelly. “Even if it’s only a small starter home, it’s better to be in the market than outside wishing you had gotten in.”

LFC’s move reflects growing institutional confidence in Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and a potential reserve asset. As BTC adoption expands beyond traditional finance, unconventional businesses like LFC are signaling that Bitcoin is becoming a global treasury asset class.

With Bitcoin back in the spotlight amid rising institutional interest, LFC’s entry could spark more crossover adoption in entertainment and sports industries.
