Michael Saylor, co-founder and executive chairman of MicroStrategy, recently revealed his visit to the US Financial Services Committee, where he discussed digital assets and the country’s path to global leadership in crypto. During the meeting, he presented the "Digital Assets Framework, Principles, and Opportunity" document, outlining clear definitions and compliance measures for various digital assets.

The framework categorizes digital assets into six types: digital commodities (Bitcoin), digital securities (assets with issuers), digital currencies (stablecoins backed by fiat), digital tokens (utility-based), digital NFTs, and digital asset-backed tokens (ABTs) tied to physical commodities like gold or oil. It emphasizes the importance of regulatory clarity to foster innovation and economic growth.

A key proposal in the document is the establishment of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, which Saylor claims could generate $16–81 trillion in wealth for the US Treasury, offering a solution to offset national debt.

In a separate development, Saylor engaged with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, responding to Bezos’ statement on personal liberty and free markets. Saylor suggested that Bitcoin is the best tool to protect these values, reinforcing its role in financial freedom and decentralization.

Saylor’s advocacy for Bitcoin as a digital commodity and strategic asset continues to drive discussions on its role in shaping the future of the US economy. His efforts aim to position the country at the forefront of the crypto revolution, strengthening financial sovereignty and economic resilience.
