Floki and Mastercard have launched a revolutionary crypto debit card available in 31 European countries, offering support for 8 blockchains and 13 cryptocurrencies. With zero transaction fees and a daily limit of 5,000 Tether, this card aims to reshape crypto payments.

Floki and Mastercard Expand Crypto Access in Europe

In 31 European nations, Floki and Mastercard have launched a debit card that can be used both online and in physical stores. You may load FLOKI and other cryptocurrencies onto the card, and it supports eight different blockchains.

A total of 31 nations, including all EU and EFTA member states, are authorized to issue the Floki Debit Card. Anywhere in the globe, you can use a virtual gift card. These cards are issued in partnership with Mastercard and can be used at any location that accepts both Visa and Mastercard.

Crypto Debit Card Offers Fee-Free Transactions

Though there are no fees associated with transactions, a 2% top-up charge applies. A one-time setup cost is also required. The daily maximum is five thousand Tether.

Floki Inu, Bitcoin, Ether, Tether coins (USDT, EURT, XAUT), Circle, BNB, Solana, DOGS (DOGS), Hamster Kombat (HMSTR), The Open Network, and Notcoin can all be used to fund the card.

In March, Floki revealed that issuing a debit card would be a primary component of its agenda. There is a vibrant community of users who refer to themselves as Vikings, and the cryptocurrency is named after Elon Musk's dog. The market cap is $2.63 billion, and there are a total of 9.67 trillion coins in circulation.

Valhalla Metaverse and Floki Ecosystem

Following postponements, Floki's flagship Valhalla game metaverse mainnet is anticipated to debut in the first quarter of 2025. The BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum networks form the basis of its ecosystem, Cointelegraph shares.

One more cryptocurrency-powered payment option from the so-called Visa-Mastercard "duopoly"—the Floki Debit Card—is on the way.

In December, Mastercard issued a debit card in the Gulf Cooperation Council region in partnership with exchange Crypto.com. In August of 2023, Mastercard introduced credit cards in Europe in partnership with the Bulgarian decentralized lending platform Nexo.

A bitcoin debit card was also presented in Europe in April by Mastercard, Baanx, and decentralized financial business 1inch Network. With the help of Baanx and Mastercard, the decentralized financial wallet MetaMask also offers a payment card on the European market.

Visa’s Latest Moves in Crypto Expansion

Recently, Visa inked debit card arrangements with the Avalanche Foundation and the Puerto Rico-based fintech FV Bank.
