Shiba Inu's marketing lead, Lucie, has warned the community about fraudulent Shiba Eternity game updates, advising users to confirm updates through SHIB administrators.
'Shibatopia Arena' to Feature Blockchain-Supported Battles
The official marketing lead of Shiba Inus, who goes by the name Lucie in all of her posts, has taken to X to hint at a much-awaited Web3 update for the Shiba Eternity game, U.Today reports.
Also, she cautioned everyone to be wary of con artists who may try to trick them into spending their cryptocurrency on an upgrade that hasn't even been released yet.
Lucie tweeted that the upcoming update, called "Shibatopia arena," will include rated tournaments and blockchain-supported card battles. According to Lucie, this improvement is brought about by a Web3 integration and will turn digital cards into distinct assets on the Shibarium blockchain.
The patch allows users to compete in ranked tournaments with 15-day cycles and 14 divisions, working their way up the rankings from White Belt to Grandmaster as they gain points for wins and lose points for losses.
NFT-Based In-Game Currency Introduced
The game's in-game currency, known as "cards," is an NFT based on Shibarium that players may buy, sell, trade, and display.
According to Lucie, the game will have over 10,000 distinct Shiboshi Heroes, each with their own set of skills. In tactical fights, players can use them to guide their decks.
SHIB Team Reminds Users of Unreleased Updates
As Lucie so proudly put it, it "ensures player ownership and pushes the boundaries of blockchain gaming" with Shiba Eternity's move from Web2 to Web3. She emphasized the importance of the BONE and TREAT tokens. As Lucie and the rest of the SHIB team have been reminding the community on occasion, the latter has not been released just yet.
Lucie further stressed that Shiba Eternity's previously mentioned Web3 update has also not been released. Users should check with SHIB administrators on Discord before clicking any links, she cautioned.
