As per a blog, the latest move will significantly benefit Currency Bird's 12,000 users with new routes to its over 50 destinations and new currencies along with better prices and faster transfer speed using the blockchain technology.
“Being part of this worldwide network supports the work we have been doing since 2015, as an enterprise supported by Corfo, to offer our more than 12 thousand clients simple, safe, transparent and low-cost international transfers,” Teófilo de la Cerda, Currency Bird Founder and CEO, said.
The partnership has reportedly been finalized last March, and it is currently operational via the Currencybird.cl platform.
Meanwhile, although the company did not specify what payment solution it will adopt, The Daily Hodl noted it will most likely be Ripple’s payment messaging system xCurrent.
The blockchain startup, which recently revealed it sold $251.1 million in XRP in the second quarter of this year, has also opened a new Brazilian office to permit banks, payment providers, and corporations to use blockchain to conduct instant payments into-and-out of the country.
