Brave Wallet to Support Cardano, Expanding Multichain Capabilities

Brave Wallet, the built-in crypto wallet of the privacy-focused Brave browser, is set to integrate Cardano (ADA), enabling users to send, receive, and swap ADA and other Cardano-native assets directly—without the need for third-party browser extensions.

This new functionality enhances Brave’s multichain strategy, which already includes support for Ethereum and Solana. The announcement comes from Input Output (IO), the organization behind Cardano’s development, signaling a deeper push toward accessible, decentralized finance tools.

Once live, Brave users will gain direct access to Cardano’s governance features, allowing them to sign transactions and participate in the network’s on-chain decision-making. This move aligns with Cardano’s progression into the Voltaire era, a milestone focused on decentralized governance and community-led development.

Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IO, highlighted the importance of secure and private blockchain interaction, stating that this integration promotes more autonomous and privacy-respecting user participation. He also noted that the Cardano integration sets the stage for future support of IO’s upcoming privacy-centric blockchain, Midnight, which aims to bring confidential smart contracts and enhanced data protection to the Web3 space.

Brave Wallet’s native support for Cardano reflects growing interest in privacy-focused and multichain Web3 tools. As crypto adoption continues to evolve, seamless access to networks like Cardano is becoming increasingly important for both mainstream and DeFi users.

With ADA trading at approximately $0.79874, the integration could also provide a boost in visibility and utility for the Cardano ecosystem, helping to onboard new users through Brave’s global browser audience.
