Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has set a bold vision to take SHIB into the top five cryptocurrencies by 2025. In a major milestone, the community burned 61.4 million SHIB in 24 hours, sending the burn rate surging by over 5,500%.
Shytoshi Kusama’s Vision for Shiba Inu: Top 5 Cryptocurrency by 2025
Shytoshi Kusama, the mysterious leader of the Shiba Inu, recently tweeted about his plans to combine a joke coin with real utility in order to propel it into the top five of the cryptocurrency market. After then, he made it clear that he was referring to SHIB.
The unidentified SHIB leader retweeted a message with an artificial intelligence-created picture. On the wall of an office hangs a picture depicting a dramatic scenario, full of disorder, that could be religious or apocalyptic in nature. The man seated at his desk seems to be surrounded by the same kind of confusion.
The artist Shytoshi Kusama utilized this picture to convey a message of his own. Among his stated objectives was the following: "taking it from top 15 to top 5 in less than 5 years"; "without a huge budget," he added; and "trying to give utility to a meme coin."
Shiba Inu's Journey Under Shytoshi Kusama
Shytoshi clarified that he was referring to SHIB in a another tweet. Launched in August 2025, Shiba Inu was overseen by Shytoshi Kusama following the departure of the project's creator, the enigmatic Ryoshi, from public view in May 2022.
If he was referring to Shiba Inus in his tweet, then the message becomes a signal that SHIB might be one of the five largest cryptocurrencies by 2025.
Adding to his previous tweet, Shytoshi Kusama recently disclosed his own work schedule, writing, "I work 20-hour days for weeks." He elaborated by saying that part of his work is to interact with the SHIB community online, specifically through social media and to reply to comments.
Shiba Inu Burn Rate Skyrockets Over 5,500%
The Shiba Inu community has successfully removed a substantial quantity of SHIB meme currencies from circulation, as Shibburn disclosed earlier today.
There has been a total of 61,468,595 SHIB transmitted to unspendable blockchain addresses within the last 24 hours, according to data supplied by Shibburn. Consequently, there has been a tremendous 5,545.73% rise in the burn rate. The biggest burn transaction sent 48,266,929 SHIB to an empty wallet, while 3,938,558; 1,839,740; and 6,008,171 SHIB meme currencies were burnt as well.
