Trump Meme Coins Rally After Eric Trump Reveals DJT Airport Logo

Trump-themed cryptocurrencies moved higher after Eric Trump introduced the official logo for the soon-to-be-renamed Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida. The announcement sparked renewed interest in politically themed meme coins, pushing several Trump-related tokens into positive territory.

Official Trump (TRUMP) climbed 3.75%, while MAGA (TRUMP) gained 3.29%. TrumpCoin (DJT), the token most closely connected to the airport’s proposed DJT call letters, rose 1.1%. Although DJT recorded the smallest increase among the three, investors viewed the airport branding update as a symbolic boost for the token.

Eric Trump shared the gold eagle-themed airport logo on X, thanking former President Donald Trump and hinting at the upcoming transition. In his post, he wrote that he was looking forward to flights landing at “DJT” in the near future.

The airport renaming follows legislation signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in March. The change will officially take effect on July 1, 2026, according to airport authorities. However, federal approval is still required before the International Air Transport Association can replace the existing PBI airport code with DJT.

Reports indicate that approximately $5.5 million has been allocated for airport rebranding, signage updates, and related infrastructure changes. Trademark applications tied to the Trump Organization were also reportedly filed before the legislation was finalized.

Despite the recent rally, Trump-themed meme coins remain significantly below their all-time highs. Official Trump, the Solana-based meme coin endorsed by Donald Trump before his January 2025 inauguration, still trades roughly 96% below its peak price of $73.43. The token currently maintains a market capitalization exceeding $558 million.

Meanwhile, TrumpCoin (DJT) remains down more than 99% from its 2024 high, holding a market value near $647,000 with relatively low trading volume. Analysts expect the July airport rebranding launch to become another major catalyst for DJT-related crypto activity and meme coin speculation.
