Ethereum (ETH) is experiencing a strong resurgence in institutional interest, with U.S.-listed spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) reporting one of their most active weeks since launching in July 2024. On Thursday, BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) recorded its highest daily inflow to date—over $300 million—boosting its assets under management (AUM) to $5.6 billion, according to Farside Investors.

The broader ETH ETF market also saw a sharp uptick in inflows. Data from SoSoValue shows that nine U.S.-based Ethereum ETFs attracted $703 million in net inflows this week, marking the third-largest weekly inflow since inception. Friday’s final numbers could push this even higher.

Despite Ethereum’s price performance lagging behind bitcoin in 2025, demand for ETH-backed investment products continues to accelerate. A report from asset manager Fineqia highlighted that the AUM of Ethereum exchange-traded products (ETPs) grew 61% faster than ETH’s market cap during the first half of 2025. This suggests a consistent capital inflow from institutional and retail investors into ETH-focused funds.

Fineqia also noted that demand for Ethereum ETPs began rebounding in April and continued gaining strength through June. This inflow momentum has contributed to ETH's recovery, pushing its price back to $3,000—the highest in over four months.

The rise in ETH ETF investments signals growing investor confidence in Ethereum’s long-term prospects, even as the broader crypto market navigates volatility. With significant capital entering the ecosystem through regulated products, Ethereum’s role as a key institutional asset continues to solidify.
