Fledgling blockchain startup Bison Trails has reportedly secured $25.5 million of funding, with the effort led by Blockchain Capital. In a blog posted by the company, Bison Trails revealed that the new Series A financing round has attracted new parties to join the fold.

This includes Coinbase Ventures, Sound Ventures, A Capital, ConsenSys, Collaborative Fund, and Kleiner Perkins. Investors that previously supported the seed round back in March have also joined in on the action including Initialized and Galaxy Digital.

This renewed interest may have been the result of Bison Trail being included as one of the 21 founding members of Facebook’s Libra Association last month. CEO Joe Lallouz said that it was Facebook that approach them to join the consortium, which bolstered the company’s reputation of providing blockchain infrastructure services, CoinDesk reported.

Bison Trails streamlining network participation

In a nutshell, Bison Trail’s business model is providing clients the necessary support to participate in a given blockchain node. This allows companies to enter the space without the need to spend time and effort building the infrastructure themselves from the ground up, which will require a lot of resources. And that’s not even mentioning the fact that if it fails, network participation crumbles leading to loss of funds.

Bison Trails mitigates these risks by handling the infrastructure themselves, lowering costs while increasing the node’s foundation. Included in Bison Trails’ support system is helping clients launch, manage, monitor, scale, and participate in a blockchain network.

Accelerating blockchain adoption

On top of this, clients have full autonomy over their funds while Bison Trails handles the rest of what the infrastructure needs. By streamlining this process, the platform is helping accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology in multiple business sectors, which in turn will help the crypto market thrive and expand. Lallouz said that following Bison Trails’ launching, they’ve worked with dozens of protocol projects.

“This year alone, our enterprise-grade platform helped dozens of blockchain founders and protocol teams to test, launch, and scale their blockchains while providing their communities easy pathways to participate and build safely… With our premium platform, companies looking to run private nodes to access a blockchain, never have to worry about whether their services are secure or available. And we have many exciting product announcements to come in 2020,” the blog read.
