Bitcoin rewards shopping platform Lolli has expanded its business, forming a new partnership with major booking service Hotels.com.

The new deal allowed the New York-based firm to extend its reach within the travel space, collaborating with two of the top three travel sites in the world, including Booking.com and Hotels.com.

Through the partnership, global travelers can earn up to 3.5% bitcoin back from purchases made via the Lolli website, according to its press release.

We believe we have an amazing partner in Hotels.com as we look to expand internationally in the coming months,” the announcement stated, detailing that Hotels.com has 85 websites in 34 languages and lists more than 325,000 hotels in about 19,000 locations across the globe.

Lolli, which was founded in March 2018, allows its users to earn Satoshis (sats), the smallest unit of bitcoin while shopping. It claims to be the first bitcoin reward application, partnering with more than 500 brands including Hilton, Marriott, VRBO, Hotwire, and Priceline.

Lolli CEO Alex Adelman revealed to CoinDesk that some Lolli users have earned more than $100 worth of bitcoin rewards for trips costing several thousand dollars. He also estimated that nearly half of its “tens of thousands” of users will receive bitcoin for the first time.

Now we’re starting to test content for teaching people what ‘stacking stats’ means. … Hopefully, someday 90 percent of our customers will be new because we want to make the market bigger,” he told the news outlet.

Last month, blockchain-based hotel booking platform Travala.com entered into a partnership with Litecoin Foundation to accelerate the use of cryptocurrency payments, launching its #TravelWithLitecoin campaign that will allow users to save up to 40% on hotel bookings.
