BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) has recorded approximately $1.02 billion in net inflows across nine consecutive U.S. trading sessions from August 17 through August 27, highlighting sustained institutional demand for Ethereum exposure.

According to SoSoValue data, ETHA posted positive flows during every session in the period, avoiding the withdrawals seen by some competing U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs. Arkham Intelligence previously reported that the BlackRock Ethereum ETF attracted $889.8 million during the first eight sessions, a figure also reflected in Farside data.

ETHA represented roughly 72% of the $1.42 billion in total net inflows recorded by U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs over those nine sessions.

Demand remained strong on August 28, when Ethereum ETFs collectively attracted another $102.1 million. BlackRock’s ETHA led the market with approximately $83.8 million in net inflows.

The Ethereum ETF momentum contrasts sharply with recent Bitcoin ETF activity. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded around $202 million in net outflows on August 28, ending their own nine-session inflow streak. Ark Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB suffered the largest withdrawal at about $114.89 million, followed by Bitwise’s BITB with $49.69 million and BlackRock’s IBIT with approximately $33.4 million.

The diverging fund flows suggest institutional capital is currently favoring Ethereum ETFs despite continued volatility across cryptocurrency markets.

Ethereum was trading near $2,435.95, down 2.77% over 24 hours. Its market capitalization stood at approximately $294.08 billion, while daily trading volume reached about $13.7 billion.

The decline follows a strong ETH price recovery that carried the cryptocurrency from above $1,900 toward the $2,500 level. Ethereum also reclaimed several key moving averages and a longer-term trend level near $2,150 during the rally.

Continued Ethereum ETF inflows could provide an important source of institutional demand as ETH attempts to preserve its recent gains. However, ETF flows alone do not determine short-term price direction, with macroeconomic conditions, derivatives positioning, liquidity and broader investor sentiment remaining influential.

For now, ETHA’s billion-dollar inflow streak underscores growing institutional interest in Ethereum as investors assess whether the cryptocurrency can sustain its latest market recovery.
