Wall Street investment bank Maxim Group has lowered its price target for Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) from $250 to $215, while maintaining its Buy rating. Despite the reduction, the revised target still suggests more than 120% upsidefrom Wednesday’s closing price of $98.37, when MSTR stock gained 0.74%.

The downgrade reflects growing caution among analysts as the Bitcoin treasury company faces increasing scrutiny over its recent Bitcoin sales. Strategy’s shift away from its long-standing “never sell” approach, combined with weaker expectations for the Bitcoin price, has prompted several firms to revise their outlook on MSTR stock.

Maxim’s move follows similar actions by other Wall Street firms. Cantor Fitzgerald recently reduced its MSTR price target to $186 after lowering its Bitcoin forecast from $111,000 to $98,000 by August 2027. Meanwhile, B. Riley cut its target from $215 to $155, trimming its Bitcoin price estimate from $81,500 to $65,000. The brokerage also cited Strategy’s decision to pause additional Bitcoin purchases as a factor behind its lower valuation.

Investor attention has also been drawn to recent on-chain activity involving wallets linked to Strategy. Blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain reported that a wallet associated with the company transferred more than 1,030 BTC, valued at over $66 million. Data from Arkham Intelligence showed five separate transactions ranging from roughly $6 million to $21 million, following a larger transfer of 300 BTC earlier in the week.

The transfers came shortly after Strategy disclosed the sale of 1,638 BTC, worth approximately $105 million, reducing its total Bitcoin holdings to 842,138 BTC. However, the company has not confirmed whether the latest transactions represent additional Bitcoin sales or routine internal wallet movements.

With analysts lowering MSTR stock price targets and investors closely monitoring Strategy’s Bitcoin activity, market participants remain focused on how the company’s treasury strategy and future Bitcoin price trends will influence its valuation in the months ahead.
