World Liberty Financial is preparing to roll out a debit card and retail application, co-founder Zak Folkman announced during a panel at Korea Blockchain Week 2025. The upcoming products are designed to bring the company’s stablecoin, USD1, into everyday payments, including integration with Apple Pay.

The new debit card will allow users to seamlessly spend USD1 across a wide range of merchants, bridging the gap between digital assets and real-world transactions. Meanwhile, the retail app will combine peer-to-peer transfers with trading functions, creating a versatile platform for users to send, receive, and trade cryptocurrency in one place. Together, these tools aim to form the foundation of World Liberty Financial’s consumer-focused strategy.

The initiative reflects a growing trend in the blockchain industry to push stablecoin adoption into mainstream commerce. By offering both payment and trading solutions, World Liberty seeks to position USD1 as a practical alternative for everyday financial activities. With Apple Pay compatibility, the project is also targeting tech-savvy users who prioritize convenience and security in digital payments.

In addition, the company revealed it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with South Korea’s major crypto exchange, Bithumb. While specific details of the partnership remain undisclosed, the collaboration signals World Liberty’s intention to expand its footprint in one of Asia’s most active cryptocurrency markets.

The launch timeline has not been finalized, but Folkman emphasized that both the debit card and retail application will arrive “very soon.” As competition in the stablecoin space intensifies, World Liberty Financial’s move highlights its ambition to become a leading player in integrating blockchain-based payments into global retail ecosystems.
