Figma, the popular collaborative design platform used by 95% of Fortune 500 companies, has filed for an IPO after generating $871 million in revenue over the past year—up 49% year-over-year. Notably, the company disclosed a $70 million investment in Bitcoin ETFs and gained board approval to purchase an additional $30 million in spot Bitcoin (BTC), currently priced at $108,877.

This move is garnering attention across the crypto industry. Marty Bent, founder of Bitcoin media outlet TFTC and managing partner at Bitcoin-focused venture firm Ten31, called the move “an incredibly bullish signal.” In his essay titled "This Is The Way," Bent emphasized that Figma isn’t just another speculative crypto play—it’s a profitable, widely used software company allocating real profits into Bitcoin.

Bent predicts that more private companies will follow suit and reveal Bitcoin holdings as they go public in the next 12–18 months. According to him, corporate Bitcoin adoption will soon shift from optional to essential. “It will become 'unwise' to not have Bitcoin on your balance sheet if you're a startup,” Bent argued, even for companies unrelated to crypto.

Despite growing institutional interest, Bitcoin’s price has remained range-bound, frustrating some investors. Analysts point to intense sell pressure from long-term holders taking profits—peaking at 40,000 BTC per day, according to Bitcoin analyst James Check. Still, the fact that Bitcoin remains above $107,000 amid such heavy selling is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Figma’s entry into Bitcoin-backed treasury strategy sets a new standard in Silicon Valley and could spark a wave of mainstream adoption, reshaping how companies manage their reserves in the digital age.
