Centrifuge Expands to Solana with $400M Tokenized Treasury Fund

Tokenized real-world asset (RWA) platform Centrifuge is extending its services to the Solana blockchain, debuting with the $400 million tokenized U.S. Treasury fund managed by Anemoy (JTRSY). This move enhances Solana’s DeFi ecosystem by enabling native yield opportunities through real-world financial instruments.

The initiative leverages Centrifuge’s proprietary “deRWA” token standard, which allows seamless integration of tokenized assets across DeFi protocols. The tokenized JTRSY asset, called deJTRSY, can be traded, lent, or used as collateral directly within Solana-based DeFi platforms. Initial integration includes Raydium (DEX), Kamino (lending), and Lulo (yield aggregation), giving users access to short-term Treasury yields.

Centrifuge’s Solana expansion highlights the blockchain's increasing traction in the rapidly growing tokenized asset space. According to projections from Boston Consulting Group and Ripple, the tokenized assets market could balloon to $18.9 trillion by 2033, with Solana positioning itself as a competitive hub for this growth.

Earlier this week, the Solana Foundation announced a partnership with blockchain infrastructure provider R3 to bring tokenized real-world assets to Solana. Meanwhile, a Securitize-issued fund composed of Apollo credit assets is also being introduced to Solana-based DeFi protocols, reinforcing the network’s momentum in RWA tokenization.

“Tokenizing assets is just the starting point,” said Centrifuge CEO Bhaji Illuminati. “The real value lies in enabling these assets to be functional across the DeFi stack from day one.”

Centrifuge’s cross-chain expansion, coupled with Solana’s high-speed infrastructure and growing institutional partnerships, signals a strong future for onchain finance and the utility-driven integration of traditional assets into decentralized ecosystems.
