Wed, 18 Sep 2024, 02:58 am UTC

"Hamster Kombat," Telegram's most popular crypto game, has announced the deadline for players to convert their in-game achievements into HMSTR tokens ahead of the upcoming airdrop. Players are encouraged to level up quickly to maximize their rewards before the cutoff.

'Hamster Kombat' Announces Token Airdrop Deadline

Tuesday, the micro app of the most popular tap-to-earn crypto game on Telegram, "Hamster Kombat," revealed that the first season of in-game prizes will conclude on September 20. This announcement comes ahead of next week's token launch and airdrop.

Players' achievements up to September 20 will be turned into HMSTR tokens, as stated on the in-game menu, which reads, "Season 1 ends on September 20." Players are then urged by "Hamster Kombat" to "hurry up to level up" prior to the deadline. The team has already revealed the in-game metrics that will be utilized to assign tokens.

Snapshot of Player Status to Determine Rewards

The "Hamster Kombat" team announced in a Tuesday Telegram message that at 6 pm UTC on September 20, they will take a "snapshot" of users' in-game money and status. Nevertheless, a second season of in-game goodies is scheduled to follow the airdrop, as originally announced.

According to Decrypt, on September 26, "Hamster Kombat" will bring its HMSTR token to The Open Network (TON) and give players the chance to claim an airdrop.

The game has boasted over 300 million participants so far, and according to data from the Telegram app, there were 94 million active users in the last month. By a wide margin, it has become the most played Telegram game.

Crypto gamers can't wait for the "Hamster Kombat" token launch, but TON could face some problems as a result.

TON Network Faces Pressure from 'Hamster Kombat' Drop

Concerns that the magnitude of the "Hamster Kombat" drop would bring the network down again were sparked by two instances of outage experienced by TON in late August, which were caused by another token claim for a smaller project.
