Bybit, the world's second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, has published its March 2026 Private Wealth Management newsletter, revealing solid fund performance despite a challenging digital asset environment.

March brought broad consolidation across the crypto market following earlier gains in the year. Persistent inflation and continued hawkish signals from the U.S. Federal Reserve pushed back expectations for rate cuts, placing short-term pressure on risk-sensitive assets like cryptocurrencies. At the same time, rising geopolitical tensions reinforced the case for digital assets as a borderless diversification hedge within institutional portfolios.

Against this backdrop, Bybit's PWM division delivered notable results. Its top-performing fund achieved an annualized return of 25.41%. USDT-based strategies averaged a 12.56% APR, while Bitcoin-based funds posted a 6.80% APR. Performance was calculated using the Time-Weighted Return methodology, with net asset values benchmarked against funding arbitrage strategies for consistency and transparency.

Across different time horizons, BTC strategies returned 5.14% over 60 days and 5.93% overall, while USDT strategies reached 14.02% over 60 days and 13.40% overall — reflecting resilience across both short- and long-term allocations.

Bybit's market commentary identified several key themes shaping the crypto landscape. Bitcoin continues to command roughly 60% market dominance, buoyed by sustained institutional inflows from firms like Strategy. Altcoins, however, face mounting headwinds from thin liquidity, token unlocks, and ongoing selling pressure. The rapid growth of real-world asset tokenization and treasury-backed products is also drawing capital away from speculative crypto positions, as high interest rates boost demand for tokenized U.S. Treasury assets.

Bybit PWM remains focused on delivering tailored wealth management services to high-net-worth clients, offering customized asset allocation, risk management strategies, and exclusive access to private funds through its platform.
