Michael Saylor Warns: Bitcoin May Hit $1M Before Financial Advisers Approve

Michael Saylor, co-founder and executive chairman of Bitcoin-focused firm MicroStrategy, has issued a bold call for investors to increase their Bitcoin exposure before it's too late. In a recent tweet, Saylor emphasized institutional hesitance toward Bitcoin spot ETFs, highlighting that only five major U.S. financial institutions—Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo, Mariner, and Fisher Investments—currently have unrestricted exposure, totaling $19.149 billion in BTC ETFs. In contrast, firms with restricted access have poured $20.886 billion into these products, reflecting growing demand amid regulatory caution.

Saylor warned that the window to buy Bitcoin at current levels may soon close. “By the time your financial adviser says it’s OK to buy Bitcoin, it’ll cost $1 million,” he said, predicting that mainstream acceptance will push BTC even higher—potentially to $10 million per coin.

Backing his conviction, MicroStrategy recently acquired 15,335 BTC for $1.42 billion, bringing its total holdings to 553,555 BTC, worth around $37.9 billion. This move underscores Saylor’s unwavering belief in Bitcoin’s long-term value proposition.

In a separate interview with Bitwise’s Ryan Rasmussen, Saylor addressed Warren Buffett’s persistent Bitcoin skepticism. He likened BTC to revolutionary technologies like electricity and radio waves, calling it a “paradigm shift” that many may not yet fully grasp—just as people in the 1890s struggled to envision the future of electricity.

Meanwhile, crypto analyst Ali Martinez has pointed to a Bollinger Bands squeeze on Bitcoin’s 4-hour chart, signaling low volatility and hinting at a significant price move soon. As institutional interest grows and technical indicators align, Saylor’s forecast may not be far off.
