Ether.fi Launches beHYPE Staking Token on HyperLiquid via HyperBeat

Ether.fi, a leading Ethereum liquid restaking platform, is expanding into the HyperLiquid ecosystem through a strategic partnership with DeFi protocol HyperBeat. Together, they will launch a new liquid staking token called beHYPE, designed to tap into the growing traction of HyperEVM, HyperLiquid’s Ethereum-compatible blockchain environment.

The collaboration kicks off with the introduction of preHYPE, a multisig-secured vault allowing early deposits before the full beHYPE rollout. The system will transition to a smart contract-based infrastructure within six weeks. Ether.fi will manage the security and staking infrastructure, while HyperBeat will handle on-chain integration and yield optimization strategies.

This initiative comes amid rapid adoption of HyperEVM, which integrates Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility into the HyperLiquid blockchain. Since launching its mainnet in February, HyperEVM’s total value locked (TVL) has surpassed $2 billion, signaling strong demand for EVM-native DeFi applications.

Early adopters of the preHYPE vault will benefit from attractive staking yields and earn “hearts,” HyperBeat’s reward points tied to its pre-token generation event (pre-TGE). These incentives aim to accelerate user participation and boost liquidity within the emerging HyperLiquid DeFi ecosystem.

By leveraging Ether.fi’s restaking expertise and HyperBeat’s native presence in the HyperLiquid network, the beHYPE token seeks to become a core yield-bearing asset in the new modular DeFi environment. This move also reflects a broader trend toward EVM-compatible Layer 2 solutions offering enhanced scalability and composability.
