Blockchain startup Nucleus Vision is going to co-host India’s largest-ever blockchain conference with the state governments of Telangana and Goa, and the government think tank National Institution for Transforming India.
The inaugural edition of the International Blockchain Congress would be held on August 3-4, 2018, in Hyderabad, India. It will bring together industry leaders and officials from multiple branches of Indian government to forge partnerships that will drive blockchain innovation within India.
“The state of Telangana has always been a flag-bearer of technology in India and has been at the forefront of adopting disruptive technological advancements. Continuing this tradition, we are deeply involved in blockchain development and have been fostering a powerful support ecosystem in the state,” Shri KT Rama Rao, Minister of IT and Industries of the Government of Telangana, said. “We are proud to co-host this momentous event in the city of Hyderabad and look forward to interacting with global innovators to create a powerful blockchain ecosystem with its epicenter in the state of Telangana.”
The conference will draw more than 80+ speakers and panelists, including blockchain industry leaders, policy makers, industrialists, and venture capital firms. Confirmed speakers include Tim Draper, famed venture capital investor and Founder of Draper Venture Network; Min Kim, Co-founder of the ICON Foundation; and Jehan Chu, Co-founder and Managing Director of Kenetic Capital.
The two-day conference will feature keynote speeches, panels, and workshops that highlight India’s emergence as a global epicenter of blockchain development. Discussions will center on the potential impact of blockchain on a variety of industries, as well as the future of blockchain regulation, both in India and globally. Through numerous networking opportunities, conference attendees will be able to add to conversations between blockchain companies and government officials around how to further propel India to become the global leader in the space.

Founded in 2014, Nucleus Vision is an IoT and blockchain based contactless identification system. The company is backed by prominent blockchain-focused investment firms including Alphabit Digital Currency Fund, FBG Capital, Kenetic Capital, Turiya Ventures, and BlockAsset.
