Everstake, a global leader in staking services, has achieved SOC 2 Type 1 certification, validating its commitment to top-tier security, privacy, and operational transparency. The independent cybersecurity firm Prescient Security conducted the compliance audit, ensuring Everstake’s staking infrastructure meets rigorous security and privacy standards.
In the expanding Web3 space, SOC 2 certification plays a crucial role in bridging traditional enterprises with blockchain technology by aligning with established Web2 security practices. This milestone underscores Everstake’s dedication to safeguarding customer data, mitigating cyber threats, and ensuring enterprise-level protection for both individual and institutional stakers.
The SOC 2 audit confirms Everstake’s ability to prevent cybersecurity risks, including slashing penalties, which are imposed when validators fail to comply with network rules. This achievement is especially significant during a crypto bull run when demand for staking services and cyber threats increase.
Staking services have seen rapid growth, with staked Ethereum tokens rising by 74% over the past year, reaching 33.99M ETH. The number of active validators has also increased by 16%, reflecting the heightened demand for secure staking solutions.
“Securing SOC 2 attestation highlights our ongoing commitment to upholding the highest security standards,” said Denys Avierin, CIO at Everstake. “With the growing adoption of staking, reliable infrastructure is essential to Web3’s evolution. Our mission is to drive innovation while protecting token holders and inspiring industry-wide adoption of best security practices.”
Founded in 2018, Everstake operates across 80+ networks, serving 735,000+ delegators. Beyond staking, the company invests in Web3 solutions, develops L1 infrastructure, and supports projects like Ethereum, Solana, and Wormhole, reinforcing its role as a blockchain industry leader.
