Women in Crypto: Former Intuit and Google executive joins HBUS as General Counsel

Cryptocurrency trading platform HBUS has announced that Tiffani McCoy is joining the company as General Counsel.

Headquartered in San Francisco, HBUS is the exclusive U.S. strategic partner of Huobi, a leading blockchain asset solutions provider. It officially launched its cryptocurrency trading platform for U.S. residents on July 10th with over 20 trading pairs.

Most recently, McCoy served as the Assistant General Counsel at Intuit, where she was responsible for driving new business initiatives while helping the company navigate complex regulatory frameworks on a global scale. Prior to that, McCoy served as Senior Manager of Legal Operations at Google and has also held leadership position at Yahoo!.

McCoy has become the first African-American woman to take on the role of General Counsel at a cryptocurrency marketplace, HBUS said. She will bring more than 20 years of experience to HBUS on diverse areas such as FinTech & money movement, product development, regulatory compliance, government affairs, data privacy and protection, FCRA, consumer protection, marketing, and legal operations.
