Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently addressed criticism regarding the company's XRP sales, hinting that they may scale back in the future. Speaking with Bloomberg, he acknowledged the controversy surrounding Ripple's XRP holdings and sales, stating, "At some point, maybe we won't be selling as much."

Garlinghouse also pushed back against detractors, accusing them of spreading misinformation. "We get criticized for owning too much, and then we're criticized for selling," he remarked. Currently, Ripple holds 42% of XRP’s total supply, which has slightly decreased to 99.9 billion units, making it "slightly deflationary," according to Garlinghouse.

The executive also highlighted Ripple's improving legal position following the SEC's decision to abandon its appeal. This move, originally initiated in October under former Chair Gary Gensler, has provided much-needed clarity for Ripple. Despite this, the company continues to pursue its cross-appeal against the SEC. "It feels a lot better to be on the offense than on the defense," Garlinghouse stated, signaling Ripple's strengthened stance.

Looking ahead, Ripple is focusing on expanding its stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD). Garlinghouse revealed that the company aims to position RLUSD among the top five stablecoins by the end of the year, anticipating significant growth in the sector.

With legal uncertainties easing and Ripple taking an aggressive approach in the crypto market, the company's trajectory appears more bullish than ever.
