Bitcoin (BTC) has soared to $85,885 with a 1.48% intraday gain, as the US Dollar Index (DXY) plunges below the key 100 level for the first time in months. This sharp divergence between Bitcoin and the dollar reignites discussion about their inverse correlation, a pattern seen in previous macro cycles.

The DXY's decline reflects shifting global investor sentiment, interest rate uncertainty, and increasing concerns over the U.S. economic outlook. Technical indicators show the DXY’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped into oversold territory, hinting at a possible rebound. However, no significant recovery has emerged, and bearish momentum remains strong.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin is showing bullish strength. The cryptocurrency is approaching the psychologically significant 200-day exponential moving average (EMA) near $87,000, having already reclaimed the 50- and 100-day EMAs. This upward movement is supported by rising trading volume and renewed investor risk appetite.

Historically, a weakening dollar has driven demand for alternative stores of value like Bitcoin. With the dollar in a downward spiral, Bitcoin’s resilience positions it as a preferred hedge against fiat devaluation and monetary policy uncertainty. The ongoing DXY decline may trigger further capital rotation into crypto markets.

If this trend continues, the BTC rally could extend, fueled by macroeconomic instability and institutional reallocation. Investors are watching closely to see if Bitcoin can hold its breakout and sustain momentum as the dollar weakens further.
